Our leadership is an experienced team of pharmaceutical industry veterans who average 25+ years of experience delivering global execution excellence and building, leading, and commercializing products at scale.
But what led them to Luzsana Biotechnology™? It was their fearless, driving determination to take a different approach to healthcare. To rethink how things are normally done and push to do better. They are committed to putting the humanity back into healthcare and won’t rest until our innovative medicines are in the hands of the people that need them most.
Scott’s leadership experience is unparalleled, with more than 25 years of leading highly successful teams at some of the biggest pharmaceutical companies across multiple therapeutic areas. He has experience in oncology, immunology, neuroscience, rare diseases, targeted therapies, and specialty pharmaceuticals. He’s held a broad range of roles—including sales, marketing, operations, access, patient services, and managing director—giving him vast knowledge of the industry. He previously served as Chief Commercial Officer at Merck KGaA, EMD Serono where his teams successfully launched multiple new medicines.
Jeff’s strategic mindset and authentic leadership style make him well suited for his role in leading commercial strategy and global operations at Luzsana. He has more than 25 years of healthcare leadership experience in marketing, sales, market access, patient services, business development, and investor relations. Most recently Jeff was at SK Life Science, a relatively unknown South Korean biopharmaceutical company where he played a foundational role in building the company’s commercial organization. Under Jeff’s leadership, SK successfully launched XCOPRI® in the US epilepsy marketplace during a global pandemic, marking the first time a Korea-based company discovered and commercialized a molecule from inception through FDA approval without partnering or out-licensing. Jeff is a proven strategic builder uniquely qualified to lead Luzsana’s commercial and global operations functions at this stage of our company’s development.
Joe attended medical school during the height of the Lebanon civil war, and although it was dangerous, he was determined to complete his studies.
After medical school, he completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in hematology and oncology. He then began practicing medicine in the United States, where he held an unwavering commitment to putting patients first. When he moved from academic medicine to the pharmaceutical industry, he brought that mindset with him, which helped him successfully lead clinical development and medical affairs departments at Roche, Merck, and BMS.
Today, Dr Eid, who is board-certified in medical oncology, hematology, and internal medicine, is responsible for developing and managing early- and late-stage product development across all therapeutic areas at Luzsana.
